Sara Blumenstein: Copper Engraving with Chemicals
Ferric chloride is a fairly benign chemical compound used to etch designs in copper and brass. Rubber stamps or permanent ink pens are used as a resist. Participants will be able to etch a small copper pendant.
Linda Brandwein: Crocheting a Bead Necklace
Learn how to bead crochet a bracelet. Prior knowledge of the chain stitch is required.
Barbara Karyo: Creative Recycling
Learn how to make a strong, attractive tote bag using plastic grocery bags.
Julianna Kirk: Glass Cloisonne Pendants
The process of fabricating a glass cloisonne pendant will be explained through visuals. Some complete examples will be available to view and handle.
Gail Neuman: Playing with Metal
Gail will be demonstrating metal working techniques such as texturing, dapping, wire wrap and a rivet or two. Come try your hand at it and take away a unique pendant.
Sally ShoreEco(logical) Printing on Silk with Botanical Materials
The process will be demonstrated start to finish.
Anna Tsontakis: Clay Carving Exploration
Participants will be given a small piece of leather hard clay to carve a stamp or a miniature sculpture. You can choose to take it home as is or have it bisque fired.
