Bob Carter: Imaginary Creatures from Scrap Wood
Materials will be available for those who wish to create a construction of their own.
John Fink: The Human Figure In Clay
Modeling the figure and expanding its meaning by placing it within a context.
Stephanie Navon-Jacobson: Solarplate, an Eco-friendly Alternative to Etching
Stephanie will show examples of various ways to make solarplates and the resulting prints. This easy, versatile technique uses the sun (or UV lights) and water to create an acid-free etching on a photosensitive, magnetic plate.
Gail Neuman: A New Take on Shrink Art
Gail will demonstrate how to work with what we used to call “Shrinky Dinks.” You will experience embossing this material with stamps, using molds to shape it and various techniques for coloring with inks and pencils.
Marjie Seid: Exploring the ‘Flexigon’
Through manipulation, this card or book reveals hidden pages. We will make a square flexigon and a rectangular flexigon. By folding our paper in a unique way we will construct a model that can be used as a toy or can express text and imagery.
Sally Shore: Warp + Weft = Weaving
